You would think that having a famous actor and musician as a dad would be pretty cool, right? You would be rich, everyone would know who you were, and not to mention all the celebrities you would meet, and maybe even be friends with.
But Zia Lac would disagree.
For Zia, having a famous dad meant living with him during the school year, living with her mom in the summer, and trying to stay out of the spotlight all year long. But, despite her efforts, she still seems to capture everyone's attention. Everyone, that is, except her dad.
And then one day Zia gets her dad's attention in a way that she didn't really want: she gets expelled, and for something she didn't even do. The school doesn't believe that though, and neither does Zia's dad. So, Zia is shipped off to a boarding school in Maine where new beginnings and a chance to start over await her.
But how long can she hide who her dad is with her strange, and somewhat nosy, new roommates and the son of her dad's coworker, who she just might be falling for?
