2015 Winner of Harlequin's SYTYCW Contest. Sent as a bride candidate for the emperor, Evony is anything but happy about the situation. She might be a trained warrior of the Amazzi, but she knows little of court and intrigue. It's her difference that draws the attention of the emperor and as she slowly finds out more about the man who conquered the world, she can't deny her attraction to him. She wants him and she's sure he feels the same, but she can't seem to crack through the shell he erected after the assassination of his sister. As a plot for his throne unfolds, Evony has to choose her honour and that of her people or her love for the emperor. Even if she's not sure he feels the same.
