She's seen the ads, read the articles, heard the stories. Evelyn Hill is convince the game "Escape" is a scam, if even real. She goes about her everyday life as usual, but as the buzz about the new game infiltrates the city, it becomes impossible to ignore. Worse yet, friends and acquaintances start putting themselves inside the game.
When Evelyn's new friend and co-worker, Matthew Torres, decides to ditch reality, Evelyn is shaken. Worried for his life and everything he's giving up, she follows him to the stadium to try and convince him to stay. But Matthew's mind is already made up. He enters the game, leaving Evelyn on the outside feeling helpless and abandoned.
Days go by and Evelyn can't stop thinking about the game. If only she could get inside, she could figure out what it really is.
With days at work dragging on, and a heavy loneliness setting in, she decides to go for it.
Entering the game she so hates, she's determined to rescue Matt and make it out alive.
