The Pirate Prince
When Prince Alexi's kingdom is overrun he is forced to flee if he wants to stay alive. After boarding a ship, that he believes is a merchants vessel, that will take him to the place that he can find his sister, he realizes with a jolt that the ship he is aboard is no honest trading ship, instead it belongs to pirates.
Trying to balance out his responsibilities to the kingdom and his family with the desire to be free from it all, comes to a head when he is forced to choose. Except there isn't much of a choice.
An ominous amber light danced around the cabin, molding flickering shadows across the walls. A large full length mirror rested against one wall, magnifying the strange light produced by the abounding candles that sat on the dark wooden table, and the torches that hung near the ceiling.
Aside from the candles, the table held few objects. On one side, a simple white feather pen and a black bottle of ink sat atop a large piece of paper. Neat calligraphy decorated the top half while signatures and small drawings of skulls and crossbones adorned the bottom.
On the other side, a pistol loaded with a single shot seemed to almost glow as it reflected the candles of the shining bits of metal. The trigger seemed to shine particularly bright.
The choice was clear.
