Two months after the battle for Nora's soul, the pack and our couple are trying to find some semblance of normality, but with Nora and Graham's wedding on the horizon, normal seems almost impossible.
Nora suffers from post-traumatic stress after her the incident jumping at every little thing. Graham suggests they take a vacation to relax before their big day. During their getaway near a small town by the Mont Blanc range, they hear of a creature that is killing skiers and feasting on them. Naturally, Nora is curious. She and Graham decide they should go on a hunt, but what they find is nothing like they had expected.
Meanwhile, Nora has made a friend, a Romanian woman with a taste for adventure who seems to be more than human in ways that neither Graham nor Nora can explain. In their stay by the cold town, Graham feels like they are constantly being observed and his theories of the monster of the mountains become almost certain when a shady stranger attacks their new friend.
