Meet Reade. The son of the most successful king to ever hold the throne of the Scots.

Standing at five feet and two inches tall, he is made out to be the "poorest, daintiest little excuse for a lad the land has ever seen," as he is constantly shunned and overlooked by his father and the officials around him.

His life is not much of a positive possession; his only solace far away from other human beings and among his own personal comforts; that being the reason that Reade is sent away to the clan of the infamous laird and chief, Lysander MacFheargail. A man said to be the most "ruthless," and "terrifying" chief to ever walk the highlands; one that none would dare to challenge; yet at the same time, the most magnificent being the highland gods ever managed to create.

The king wishes for nothing but his "son's" departure; for the "embarrassment" to cease; for his son to "toughen up" and "grow a pair," for all he cares, which may be positive for his court, though entirely detriemental to Reade.

Upon hearing his father's plans, Reade is terrified; sure that his life will come to a halt as soon as he meets the infamous chief, though how wrong he is. For Lysander does not wish to use him, he does not wish to kill him, he does not wish to violate him. He wishes for the lad to be his..

Only his..

As does Reade, himself; their singular desires for the other so powerful that there seems to be no possible way to escape them.

Entirely unaware of what the gods had planned for the two of them, -their destinies already having been scrawled out in the stars at the beginning of time itself- they try their hardest to battle their desires.

Will they find a way to eliminate it indefinitely or will the desire of their separate forces overpower them once and for all?
