 and the possibility to be excroriated forever from her motherland. Unknowingly, she will encounter happiness but more pain more than she could ever imagine in the hands of a powerful, ruthless and handsome jàrl, Brynjar.

As a farmer I have to correct you.. The plural for sheep is sheep, not sheeps. And a baby sheep is called a lamb not a kid... Enjoying it so far though! :)

I don't know if you want to be historically accurate with this story but if you are,  corn wasn't around in the time of viking raids. It came to Europe from America only 5 centuries later, so she should not be eating sweetend corn ;)
I think... He's a gay or  because  his mother died  the  colours of his life went away. He's probably been hurt or he just  can't bear  the thought. Of loosing his wife (if he changes his mind) like he lost his mother

Maybe he us the type that likes to be out fighting. Also maybe he is afraid of being a bad parent or losing his partner

The dialogue is a bit confusing why do you write it like that ? I'm not saying it's a bad story because it isn't but still ....
