One year ago, Sarah's best friend Cassie brutally murdered four classmates in the house next door.

Then Cassie disappeared.

No one knows why she did it. Or that Sarah could have stopped her.

Now, strange things are happening - messages written in blood, familiar voices whispering to Sarah, faces in the mirror that aren't her own. Cassie's favorite slumber party game was always Bloody Mary and her final entries in a journal are filled with stories about a "presence" in the mirror, who listened when no one else did.

Cassie poured her fear, anger, and heartbreak into Bloody Mary - confessing the bullying, loneliness, and slow, painful realization that Sarah was starting to make new friends and move on without her.

As the anniversary of the murders approaches, Sarah and her friends - including Abby, who might be something more - must follow the clues and go to what's now called the Demon House. There, they will learn what really happened, what Cassie unleashed...and whether she's still alive.
