FOREVER STARTS NOW

PROLOGUE: SIX YEARS AGO
The hotel bar was dim, and Emma's vision was blurry with tears and whiskey. Her wedding dress sat crumpled in a bag at her feet a dress she'd never wear. Not after finding her fiancé in bed with her stepsister.
"You've had enough." The voice was deep, commanding, impossibly sexy.
Emma looked up at the stranger tall, dark suited, devastatingly handsome. His eyes held the same pain she felt.
"Are you going to stop me?" she challenged.
"No." He sat beside her, his presence overwhelming. "I'm going to join you."
Three drinks later, she was in his arms. Four drinks later, they were in his suite. And when he kissed her God, when he kissed her the world disappeared.
"I don't even know your name," she whispered as he carried her to the bedroom.
"Does it matter?" His lips traced her neck, making her shiver.
"No." She pulled him closer. "Tonight, nothing matters but this."
In the darkness, they came together two broken souls seeking solace. His touch was fire. His whispers were comfort. And when he made love to her, it was with an intensity that burned away everything but pleasure.
Dawn came too soon. His phone rang an emergency. While he took the call, Emma fled, leaving only a note: Thank you for making me feel beautiful.
She never saw him again.
Three weeks later, she discovered she was pregnant.
