He hates everyone. I just happen to be the exception... and the problem.

He's the cold, untouchable boy everyone fears - and I'm the only one he ever talks to.

No one knows why. They whisper about it in the hallways, staring when he walks by and doesn't bother looking at anyone-except me.

He hates everyone.
Teachers, classmates, the cafeteria lady-everyone.

Except me.

Some say I'm brave for not being scared of him. Others think I'm crazy.
Honestly? They're both probably right.

Maybe he talks to me because I once told him his death stare needed work. Or maybe it's because I'm the only one who argues back when he's being impossible.

Now everyone's asking the same question:
Why does the monster only listen to the girl who teases him?

And if I'm being honest...
I'm not sure if I've tamed him-
or if I've just become his favorite person to ruin the world for.

Tropes: grumpy x sunshine · sarcastic banter · protective love · misunderstood bad boy

*WARNIO!! This is my second book I wrote on Wattpad. THERE will be mistakes!* Read at yo own dang risk! "Who is she?" "Can you get me her number?" "Can you shut up, she is right there." I watch as the boys whisper in front of me. I raise my eyebrows and wait until they realize that I am standing only a few feet away from them. "I'm V, no you can't have my number, and yeah I'm right here." I eye all three of the boys with curiosity. And they seem to be doing the same to me. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I'm known as the baddest of them all. The one who has no past. The one that doesn't even give you a glance. Because I don't need to waste my time on others. People can see my outside, leather jacket, ripped jeans, chewing bubblegum. But people can't see what's on the inside, unless you let them in. And only one person has ever seen me for... me. I'm just a normal 17 year old girl grieving with a dark past. But on the outside I'm a 18 year old girl with a bad reputation. Three new transfer students come into Valentine's life. There names are Axel, Phoenix, and Shepherd. Valentine needs help with the unbearable grief that life throws her way. And maybe... just maybe these three unique boys can help with that. But Valentine seems to forget that they are just strangers. She didn't know the past the boys hide behind their black sunglasses. They might get her in trouble, but they will get her out of it too. *There is a sequel to this book: The Wildest* ^^^^^^^^^^^^^ #119 youngadult 7/9/18 #24 action-adventure 8/10/18 #59 loss 8/11/18 #353 adventure 8/13/18 #10 grieving 8/20/18 #7 badreputation 9/3/18
WISHBONE: Chords & Collars by Briareil

Boy meets boy. Boy mocks boy. Boy falls (a little too hard). Dior Max is all sharp edges and smoother fabrics-stylish, strategic, and emotionally unbothered. Or so he pretends. Brix Julian is a walking headache with a guitar: smug, loud, and alarmingly good at sending the wrong message. They argue. They prank. They lock eyes for too long in crowded hallways. It's not flirting-it's war. Obviously. But somewhere between the teasing and tension, Dior starts collecting hope-one red paper heart at a time. Every mixed signal? Folded. Stored. Counted. He'll confess when the jar is full. Because maybe, just maybe, Brix means it. SPOILER ALERT: he doesn't. Turns out the signals were smoke, the crush was one-sided, and the heartbreak? Custom-tailored. Chords vs. Collars. Gloss meets grit. A stylish slow-burn that stings where it shouldn't. Because the cruelest crushes don't break-they hum. ___________// ⚠ gentle heads-up! This story explores sensitive themes such as homophobia, emotional trauma, misunderstandings, and the use of strong language. Please read with care and kindness to yourself. Your heart and well-being matter most. ♡ (Note: This story is currently a work in progress and may include typos or little grammar hiccups. Thank you for your patience and love!) 🧵🎸 just a tiny disclaimer: This story is fictional. Some scenes are inspired by real moments I experienced in junior high, and a few characters are loosely based on old friends. But everything else names, places, events is purely imagined. Any similarities are purely coincidental. This is a personal story, a metaphor for a forbidden love I once had. If it feels familiar or cliché, that's not intentional. This story is mine. 🫶🏻

---------- "You think you're different to me, don't you?" I tilt my head, staring at each other's lips. Without breaking eye contact, he slowly stands, making him in control with the advantage in height. I'm the one looking up at him now. "And you think I'm easy right?" He leans down close to my face, my back hitting the counter. "Does it turn you on the way I speak to you? Every time I say I hate you, do you clench those thighs? Do you think you're special to me because you're the only pretty girl I touch like this?" He whispers, his grip tightening more. My chest rises up and down at the proximity. I was expecting a reaction but not one like this. This is exactly what I wanted. To see him like this, the side of him no one else got to see. "You think I'm pretty?" I lean closer to him but his force on me doesn't let me get closer. ------------------ Annalise Martin is the IT girl, attracting attention everywhere she goes. From perfect looks to perfect grades, people are always watching her, wanting to be her. Jude Fitz is a moody guy and isn't caught speaking to anyone ever. Never being noticed by her. He goes unnoticed and untouched until Annalise gets her eyes on him. Total opposites but something between the two makes sense..
