Inevitable Fidelity (Bk 3 in BOC Series)
The prestigious Monahan Whiz competition held every four years at Stanford brings only the very best of University Seniors around the United States.
They are mentally gifted beyond expectations and hope to earn the hundred thousand dollar prize money, a school name plaque, and giving the Champion opportunities with honored employers. Never has the competition gone past the seventh of twelve rounds with just the first taking out more than half of its contestants with the onerous layout formulated.
This year, however, has brought the wunderkind that is Chambers Henry.
His discovered talent with encryptions and stringing together codes of his own at sixteen has him attend an Ivy League school on a scholarship. From his first year at the University, professors have prepped him and Ethan Cunningham for this competition. When Chambers throws the competition at the last second to give Ethan the title, he figures everything will go back to normal.
But one fateful morning puts an entire department under siege with intent on using the Champion student in a malicious ploy led by a group of trained specialists.
The worst of them is the co-leader of the group: the beauteous, psychotic Elena Travosky.
The corrupt group holds selected students (Chambers included) isolated in a building on campus that locks anyone who enters inside and only the right code entered can free them. And Ethan is pressured to obey with those holding a gun to his head.
But when a familiar Underground team ambushes the room, Chambers is stunned to find a familiar, yet unlikely, face in the team he met five years before.
Time may have passed, but a strong feeling Chambers had to let go of as a kid will resurface... as does jealousy, revenge, seduction, and the possibility of mending what was once lost.
