Jiang Cheng is not gay. He is angry that his parents are forcing him to marry Wei Wuxian, a boy, rather the boy who his father adopted after being divorced from his mother Yu Ziyuan. Marrying his father's adopted child will allow Jiang Cheng to inherit Jiang enterprises. As for Wei Wuxian, he is gay but Jiang Cheng isn't. Yu Ziyuan forces Jiang Cheng to cultivate feelings or atleast reach an understanding for a contractual marriage. To make things less awkward she sends her daughter to oversee things, along with Jiang Yanli's fiance- Lan Wangji. Wei Wuxian, being Wei Wuxian, decide the best form of bonding is in the lap of nature and end up hiking till the floor of a trail caves in trapping Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji in an impenetrable grave. What no one realizes is that the moment Wei Wuxian's life is in danger, a secret force trapped inside him is unleashed and Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian end up transported to a parallel universe, the universe that Wei Wuxian is originally from.

He took his obsession to a hotel room to have him throw up all over his clothes and then slip and hurt his back. Needless to say he stayed the night to keep him safe. In the morning when a hilarious misunderstanding occurs he convinces his crush to compensate him by marrying him and to his utter disbelief Wei Wuxian agrees, provided that they keep their marriage secret. After receiving the certificate they go their different ways. When Lan Wangji finds out that the Jiangs have not only fired Wei Wuxian but also kicked him out of home, he uses his resources to track his husband and shows up at his door with a pack of beer even though he doesn't drink. Lan Wangji's spiritual powers are gone as he had to lock his meridians to prevent the spread of the Yin poison which could potentially shatter his golden core. Lan Wangji has never met Wei Wuxian or the infamous Yiling Laozu, one of the unsung heroes of the Sunshot Campaign. Everyone feared him. Lan Wangji is weary of him. Wei Wuxian likes to use to pseudonym and travel anonymously. On one of his trips a woman drugs him with an aphrodisiac without knowing that he has a yin core. Wei Wuxian needs a man full of Yang energy and have him neutralize the drugs. He selects the feeble monk Lan Zhan only to end up being each other's cure. Three months later the Yiling Laozu demands the monk Lan Zhan in chains in the Demon Subduing cave. A weary Lan Wangji arrives in Yiling to find a pregnant Wei Wuxian.Complete
