Douglas Emhoff has money, power, and control-but the only thing he craves is the woman who left him in the morning light. And this time? He's not letting her go.

Cross-Examination
Doug: I called her fiery because I wanted to watch her burn. I poked at her resume because I wanted to watch her bristle. I stepped closer because I wanted to see how close I could get before she shoved me away.
Governor & General
Enemies. Lovers. Coworkers. Co-parents. A political slow-burn that lasts a decade. San Francisco • 2009 - District Attorney Kamala Harris built her empire on ambition and composure. Mayor Gavin Newsom built his on charisma and chaos. They were rivals before they even shook hands, the state's favorite feud-until the late nights, the press leaks, and the kind of chemistry that can ruin careers. What starts as politics becomes obsession. What begins as rivalry turns into everything they can't control. Five years later, she's Attorney General. He's Governor. There's a child in the middle, a secret she's still hiding, and a history they can't bury no matter how many press conferences they survive. They fight, they break, they rebuild. They love other people, lose each other, and keep finding their way back. It's not healthy. It's not simple. It's them - and it's real. Politics. Power. Parenthood. Passion. Welcome to the most dysfunctional love story California's ever seen.

Be without you
She had shattered the final ceiling, not just as the first woman, not just as the first Black and South Asian woman, but as someone who had fought, bled, and sacrificed her way to the highest office in the land. Every step of her journey had been a battle. And tonight, she had won. But as the crowd thinned and the cameras dimmed, Kamala stood backstage in the shadows of her own triumph. Her heart, instead of soaring, felt heavier than it ever had before.
Ghost Of The Past
This one is a little darker, with heavy emotions, but powerful. To be honest, I feel that a masochistic part of you will like it. Also, they always come through, so we need to throw in some smut and fluff at some point. Dougala is truly a never-ending inspiration even in a different universe. Pure fiction.
