The Seventh Queen
"I have spoken my mind and I don't regret it, not even a word" said the seventh queen of Scharzad, the maid bows to her and makes arrangements for dinner in the empty hut with nothing but a cot, a few candles and vessels. Sheena the maid thinks to herself she should have kept quite but then she is a queen how could modesty and royal blood go hand in hand. She goes out into the jungle in search of food. The queen rested on the cot and kept thinking of what had happened a few days ago. The voice of the king echoing in her mind. "Who owns your life?" asked the king to all of his beloved wives and all but one had a different answer. The first six wives said that the king owns their life, but not Zaira, the seventh wife. "I own my life, the Lord has given me this life and he is only the one who can take it back". On listening to this the king's blood boiled in anger."How dare you speak like this to me, I am the king, I can take your life right now and no one's going to question me. But I will not do so, i'll make your life hell, I banish you from my kingdom. Begone! I don't want to see your face anymore".
She is banished into the dark forest. She stays there with the maid. One day the king sends her a gift, which she wasn't interested in at first but later she can't let go of it...
