Corinne is the first volume in the Carmichael series, five new-adult novellas about the daughters of a prominent political family in Colorado. It begins as Corinne, the eldest, leaves home for college and embarks on a long-distance relationship with photographer Paul Drouet. Corinne and Paul struggle with her father's presidential campaign-and have to grow up fast when her parents die in a helicopter accident. The rest of the books occur nine years later, when the youngest daughter Samantha is a college freshman. Each of the five novellas centers on one sister and can be read as a standalone.
