The Kingdom of Enchancia is destroyed after a mysterious person finds the barrier that kept it hidden and attacked everyone to find magic that everyone thought was fictional. Many people were killed, along with King Roland and Queen Miranda.
However there are survivors, one of them being Sofia the First the only known survivor. The one with the magic that everyone so desperately wanted, it was just in her amulet.
In Storybrooke, Sofia Balthazar is Mary Margaret Blanchard's foster kid who no one wants to adopt. She is 15 and is trying to find out if there are any living family members of hers, but so far no success. When Henry Mills, brings his birth mother to Storybrooke things begin to change.
