A random idea (Again). Bear with me. AU.
Lan Wangji, the second heir to Gusu Lan fakes his death and hides in a monastery in Moling after being poisoned by his brother's right hand man, Meng yao. Lan Wangji's spiritual powers are gone as he had to lock his meridians to prevent the spread of the Yin poison which could potentially shatter his golden core.
Lan Wangji has never met Wei Wuxian or the infamous Yiling Laozu, one of the unsung heroes of the Sunshot Campaign. Everyone feared him. Lan Wangji is weary of him. Wei Wuxian likes to use to pseudonym and travel anonymously. On one of his trips a woman drugs him with an aphrodisiac without knowing that he has a yin core. Wei Wuxian needs a man full of Yang energy and have him neutralize the drugs. He selects the feeble monk Lan Zhan only to end up being each other's cure.
Three months later the Yiling Laozu demands the monk Lan Zhan in chains in the Demon Subduing cave. A weary Lan Wangji arrives in Yiling to find a pregnant Wei Wuxian.

Put simply, if you all remember the time Wei Wuxian and Wen Ning were on the way to Yanli and Zixuan's marriage, he was shot down by several Jin's, going against given orders. He will not, however, admit to even slightly missing the boy when asked by the older nephew. During what seems like a relatively normal day, objects go flying around and cryptic messages appear in an unidentifiable crimson liquid, scrawled and messy. How will those who forgot react, let alone those who remember? ----- Most interactions will take place through Inquiry. Fluff? Very little. School life ended. Wei Wuxian found out that he was adopted, moved out of his home, married his classmate, had a child and lost his wife in childbirth. He was not happy in life but he had finally achieved his goal of being disciplined and serious in life. He had to be for the sake of his son A'Yuan. When he gets a job offer that pays him almost twice his current salary, he accepts it willingly, not realizing that the psychiatric patient who had lost his parents in an accident he is to be the companion of is none other than Lan Wangji. Lan Wangji has not spoken a single word in three years, not since the death of his parents. When he sees his childhood crush in front of him he wants to speak but cannot make himself do so. So he pulls Wei Wuxian into his arms and kisses him. Lan Haikuan never blamed his brother for being the reason he lost his parents but Wangji did. If their parents hadn't gone to celebrate his graduation they wouldn't have died in the car accident. Lan Wangji never recovered from the trauma of it.
