Forced into an arranged marriage Perryn sees this opportunity as a way to escape her prison, the place she had once called home.

On her way to her betrothed, she is waylaid by an unforeseen creature which forces Perryn to embark on a life changing adventure. It is not a journey she faces alone as she befriends Hasslet, an elf stranded in the Human world. Together they seek a way to return him back to his homeland, the Fae realm.

Thus they venture forth to face the perils of their world and to find their place within it.
