Lorsqu'une émeute éclate après l'effondrement d'une tour et que son père et son frère perdent la vie dans des circonstances tragiques, et peu après, sa mère meurt dans une émeute suivant le coup d'état du parti extrémiste, Emma se retrouve confrontée à une réalité qu'elle aurait préféré ignorer. Mais ce n'est rien comparé à la panne d'électricité mondiale qui plonge la planète dans l'obscurité et le chaos.
Pas de téléphone, pas de Wi-Fi, et plus aucun jeu vidéo. C'est un véritable choc pour Emma, qui voit son univers s'effondrer en même temps que le monde autour d'elle. Alors que des tensions éclatent à l'échelle mondiale, Emma, avec ses amis un peu décalés et une bonne dose d'humour noir, va être forcée de sortir de sa zone de confort. Loin de ses écrans, elle se retrouve à voyager à travers l'Angleterre, puis le monde, dans une série de situations aussi absurdes que drôles, où ses talents de procrastination seront mis à rude épreuve.
Dans un monde sans électricité ni réseau, Emma devra finalement se reconnecter... mais pas forcément là où elle l'attendait.

Instead of a cure, they made a "virus". The virus is incurable for now. Many people protested against the CSD and the government. It changed.. but it was never saved...
