Nerd's Little Makeover
First kisses were suppose to be amazing, dreamy and romantic. Well mine wasn't, it ends with a bullet in his chest and not a smile on his face.
My heart was beating so loud I thought he could hear it himself. He raised my chin, meeting his big eyes as he stared down at mine.
His breath sent tingles on my face, my nose hitting his as he smiled at me.
This was it, our first kiss was about to happen. We've been together for nine months, I've been waiting for this moment since then.
His eyes closed and so did mine, waiting for our lips to meet.
And that's when I heard the gunshot.
It was terrifying, hearing the bullet ripple through the air as it screamed through the wind, colliding with unharmed flesh as it buried deep inside it, making its own scar.
His voice was weak, barely audible as it appeared to sound like a choke, hearing it sounding so soft made my legs wobble.
My eyes grew wide, fear of what I've witnessed.
His eyes were desperate, fearful and shocked, those emotions swirling in them. My vision blurry but clear enough to see that the bullet landed on his chest, blood seeping from his shirt.
That's when I heard him fall, his hands slipping from mine as it felt cold, eyes closed as his knees buckled and fell to the ground with his shirt soaked in blood.
This wasn't what I imagined it to be, what happened was the exact opposite.
Was love really worth the risk?
