Y/n is an introverted music enthusiast with a passion for creating playlists that match her every mood. Music is her escape from reality, where she's struggling with her parents' divorce and the pressure to fit in at her new high school. She's good at staying under the radar, avoiding drama and deep connections-until her mixtape accidentally gets swapped with that of Yaku, the outgoing and well-liked libero of the volleyball team. Yaku, who appears to have it all together, hides his own struggles: the pressure to get a scholarship, and make it to nationals with his team. When he listens to y/n's playlist, he finds himself oddly captivated by the melancholic but honest tracks that seem to echo his own doubts and insecurities. Curious about the person behind the music, Yaku reaches out to y/n, sparking an unexpected friendship. Through late-night text exchanges, shared playlists, and secret meetings, they start to bond over their love for music. As they open up about their lives, their connection grows deeper, and they start to fall for each other.
