Salem has arrived at Atlas, along with her army of grimm. While her forces move in the shadows to enact her plan, it's up to Kai Blaze, teams RWBY and JNPR, along with Oscar Pine and the new Winter Maiden Penny Polendina, to figure out what to do next, all while preventing themselves from getting arrested by General Ironwood and his military.

But the closer Kai gets to Salem, the more dominant his other side gets. Just who is Isaak, and would Kai be able to stop him from harming all those he holds dear?
