From a rough past to a sheltered present, Darcy Howard is content spending most of her time within the walls of her father's café. She sees nothing wrong with the way she lives her life and naturally shuts herself away. But then Christopher Radley makes a reappearance in her life, and he is everything that Darcy aspires to be.

Chris is a spirit that can't be tied down. He's a fun, loving goofball with the heart of a child. After experiencing all of this first hand, Darcy knows she can only thrive to reach his level of calm, cool, and collected.

As the year draws to a close and a new one begins, she decides that it's about time she turned over a new leaf and marked this year as the ultimate game changer. And with Chris heartbroken over the breakup with his longterm girlfriend, they decide to take on the new year together.

And what better way for them to remember a year of up and downs than with a little memory documentation?

** This is a spin-off to my story A Thousand Words which can be read as a stand alone, but I recommend reading ATW to reach maximum feels while reading this one. **
