Ice hockey star Lucian Gray, eighteen years old, and abnormally cocky, is well known- some may say famous -for his sporting talents. He's in his last year of school before he'll go pro, and become even more known than he already is. But it's not as easy as it sounds. Overworking himself and becoming more agitated, it could ruin everything he's worked for.

Clara Beaumont, figure skater, beauty and brains, the picture perfect girl. She's smart, bubbly, and everything a girl would want to be to get through her school years happily. But is she really happy? Hiding secrets, pretending to be fine, but will it last? Or one day will her facade finally crack? Grades slipping, talking less, and looking half asleep most of the time, what the hell is she going to do?

Lucian and Clara have never really gotten along. Horrific comments in the hallways, getting sent out of class for arguing, random standoffs, competing all the time, trying to be better than the other- in short, they really dislike each other.

But as Lucian starts to crumble under the pressure, and Clara isn't sure if she can carry on living how she does, maybe- just maybe -they can help each other, save each other. When circumstances force Clara and Lucian to be around each other more than either of them would like, they must learn to be civil. Will this bring them closer together? Or make this tension between them even worse?
