Dark Lord Voldemort had won the first war in a merciless and undeniable victory; the Light side and it's families all becoming nothing more than second-class citizens, even if they were of pureblood ancestry and needing to prove themselves to earn their status back. The Ministry of Magic caving in under the weight of his onslaught; only to collapse and allow the Dark Lord to reign as their new Emperor. All while Hogwarts became the school of Magic for the purebloods or those who were the most gifted; hand chosen by the right and left hands of the Dark Lord.
Hadrian James Potter; he was the sole heir of the Lord James Potter and his wife Lady Lily Potter, and set to inherit the massive fortune of the Potter family upon his coming of age. He was born unnaturally beautiful; only to grow more so as he aged, and was born with powerful magic. Which had drawn the attention of the other powerful, wealthy, and most notably; pureblood families to him from all sides.
His whole life had been surrounded in training to be the perfect bargaining chip to marry off. Harry Potter: Heir of the Dark Lord
The First Wizarding War ended after news of Tom Riddle aka Voldemort had been defeated by an infant named Harry James Potter on October 31st, 1981, causing many witches and wizards to celebrate as peace had finally returned in the Wizarding world only for rumors to somehow emerge about a prophecy that talks about a child of Voldemort and Bellatrix Lestrange. The prophecy stated that the dark lord's heir would one day rise to become the most powerful dark wizard in history and usher in a new age of darkness that would bring an end to the wizarding world and the muggle world. When this rumor came out, it caused many to panic, and others to try and hunt down the child, only to fail as no one not even the Ministry of Magic with all their power and resources could locate him or know what he looked like. The child whose name was Noctis Rigel Arcturus Black, lived in 12 Grimmauld Place with his great-aunt Walburga Black. He was taught every form of magic ranging from normal magic to the dark arts when he was 4 years old. He also had a high altitude for knowledge and spell-casting and was also born gifted with three abilities, two were considered very rare, one was Seer and the second Parseltongue, and the third was called Legilimency. When she learned about his abilities she was extremely happy and wasn't going to let the opportunity of having a member of the Black family who was born with three rare magical powers go to pass. She wrote in her will that she would leave everything to her great-nephew including 12 Grimmauld Place, the Black family vault, and the family elf Kreacher, before dying in 1985, leaving Noctis to reside in the house alone for his own safety for most of his life from the Ministry of Magic until he turns 11 when the headmaster of Hogwarts arrives changing his life forever. Hold On - Dramione
When everything seems to be falling apart, sometimes all you can do is hold on. Hold onto what, is the question though. What do you hold onto when the darkness that is the Dark Lord is snuffing out the light and any hope of the Wizarding World being free?
