The Animosity of Roxie Vaughn
Roxanna ‘Roxie’ Vaughn is a household name. Following in her pop star father’s footstep, she has become the fastest selling platinum artist of all time. Everyone and their mothers love her catchy tunes and 'girl next door' looks.
Fame comes with its drawbacks though; mainly an overbearing manager (who also happens to be her father), a world tour right around the corner, and her every waking moment being scrutinized. Let’s not forget to mention her new hate group, who not only have criticized her appearance and music, but also crashed her most recent show and vandalized her limousine (and driver). Between her father’s pressure to live up to his expectations, societies pressure to be the perfect girl, and her enemies' pressure to see her fail, Roxanna barely has time to breathe and longs for an escape from the stress.
Still stuck in their garage, the members of the metal band Animosity dream of making it big. Each moment of their lives is set aside to finding and grabbing hold of that one big break, and they’re really close to catching it. Unbeknownst to the rest of the band though, their often quiet, pretty boy bassist ‘Vaughn’, is not who they think he is, and that’s the way Roxie wants it.
But with their lead singer, Felix, an active member of ‘The Official Roxie Hate Group’, and Animosity getting a spot in the local Battle of the Bands, Roxanna fears that soon her clever disgust will be revealed and her last bit of freedom will come to an end. How far is Roxie Vaughn willing to go to have a chance at some normality?
