Optional sequel to Upon Wings Of Change.
(This is a version with *JUST* Tessa's POV (different from the main version, which has 3 POVs. Was my attempt to revise the slower pacing, but I'm not sure how well it worked, but since I put in the work, here it is.)

Summary:
The dragonets are flourishing; both those in the park and those helping the Kymari.
As the first dragonets to hatch in the Kymari civilization, Tessa and her brother are paving a new path as they grow up and learn how to fit into the world. New beginnings are often great things, but sometimes shadows from the distant past come calling.

Excerpt:
I braced my feet against the wall as I pulled. Suddenly, the lever swung downward. I lost my grip and tumbled backward. I landed on my side and slid across the counter. My legs and tail flailed as I tried to get to my feet or slow down-but I didn't manage it in time.
Almost in slow motion, my feet went off the counter as I slid into the air. Without thinking, my wings popped open and beat hard as I twisted, trying to turn right side up so I could fly properly.
I blinked in shock when I realized I was already flying upward. Grinning triumphantly, I beat my wings again and went back to the counter.
Pleased with my flying abilities, I proudly landed on the counter - and forgot to slow down, which promptly sent me sliding across the slippery surface, lightly colliding with the glass door. I ducked my head sheepishly, glad no one else had seen that.
My eyes locked onto the gap between the glass doors. With an eager grin, I pressed my shoulder against the edge and pushed. My feet struggled to find traction, but it was opening!
Once I pushed the door far enough, I scampered over to the cantaloupe. It was much bigger up close. I blinked slowly, trying to think about how I was going to move it. There was no way I'd be able to lift it.
It was round though. Round things could roll, right?

No one ever said what would happen when dragons and aliens meet. And no one told me that I would be in the middle of it. Tasha was studying hard to get through her last year of university when she was kidnapped. She certainly didn't expect to wake up with four feet and wings. Mad scientists are bad enough, but things get even more complicated when aliens appear and wipe out the human race. Is there a way for her to hide her true identity in this new world while retaining her humanity? --------------------- Sneak Peek: I jumped over the lip of the tray and beat down hard with my wings. I had expected to only slow my fall; I had not expected to end up gaining so much height. I squawked in surprise and spread my wings wide in alarm before gravity regained its hold on me. With several awkward back-winging motions of my wings, I landed lightly on the floor. Well, at least I know my wings work. I glanced at the man in the corner as he was scribbling quick notes. I turned around to regard the tray again. They say practice makes perfect. With another hop and a single wingbeat, I managed to land in the sand tray with fanned wings slowing my momentum. That was much more graceful. But a wing-assisted hop wasn't true flight. And I still wasn't on the windowsill. ---------------------------- Entire semi-polished draft can be read on Wattpad. A 1000 years after the end of the Pyrrhian war stopped by the 5 prophesized dragonets a new prophecy was delivered. Now 6 new dragonets are destined to save Pyrrhia from a devastating disaster, a master volcano which wiped out a big part of the population, but how do they stop a natural disaster? There must be something, or someone behind it. Viper and his friends are forced to be introduced to the real world were they find out that it is a brutal world to survive in. Will Viper and his friends learn how to be harsh and claw their way to the top, or will they be pushed down and join the wiped out population, and find out the harsh truth? (Hey! This story is an unofficial 4th arc to the original wings of fire series. There are 5 books planned in this unofficial sequel to our beloved wings of fire. I would like to give huge credits to Tui.Sutherland for coming up with the wings of fire and its universe where this book takes place in, and for giving me the first book series that could entertain me for hours on end. FYI this book was originally drafted when I was much younger so spelling and punctuation mistakes are inevitable, I tried to catch them out but I am just unable to see mistakes in my own writing, so apologies for that. These books will be more gory than the original WoF series but still acepptable for readers above 13, they are kind of meant to be for people a bit older than what was intended with the original WoF. I will and am trying my best to keep the writing style and lore close to how Tui. writes it to make it feel more like you are reading a real continuation of her books. It is deliberately made a 1000 years later so her characters and mine don't overlap even incase she continues writing and publishes new books. Promotional material and sneak peeks as well as foreshadowing and spoilers will be posted on respective social media accounts as they are created [tiktok, Instagram.] Hope you enjoy the series! Chapters 2-4 are due to be rewritten!)

[Complete - under editing] (A fan's side story of Upon Wings of Change) *I thank Crystal Scherer for the wonderful book that inspired this run off story that takes place in the same universe! I dedicate this story as a gift to her and all her readers!* Aspen wasn't the only one to be kidnapped and turned into a dragonet, but she WAS the only one who had a something to hide, outside of their human intelligence. Armed with nothing but the wings on her back and the claws on her feet, Aspen did her best just to survive her new environment. But just as she was starting to get used to her surroundings and her newly acquired skills, the rug is pulled out from underneath her once again. Now with the looming threat of aliens, aliens, and more aliens, Aspen has even more piled onto her already overflowing plate. Sneak peak: It wasn't fair. And knowing that unfairness was just part of life, didn't make me feel any better. Life had dealt us a hand of rotting lemons and all I wanted to do was throw them and make life take them back. But I couldn't. I was stuck with these rotting lemons and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get rid of them. (Quick disclamer: Most characters within this story are my own. The universe is not mine. I might have slipped from cannon an intsy tiny bit. My story in no way rips off Crystal Scherer's original story of Upon Wings of Change. Only builds upon it. Please read the original before reading this side story or else it might not make a whole lot of sense. Also read the original because it's AMAZING.) (Going through editing! Chapters with a single star ☆ have been edited and revised. Chapters with two stars ☆☆ are completely new! Editing will start with the first chapter and end with the last.) A Dragon for Aurelija by JerrySkell

My golden dragon was ready to fly me. You cannot imagine my excitement for the opportunity. Ailleacht (my dragon) has devised a cunning harness for me to buckle onto as she plans to push the limits of maned or should I say womaned flight. I climbed onto my dragon's back and buckled my ankles and knees down and adjusted the flight straps then immediately after signaling my dragon we were airborne. Our little island home appeared to fall way from me as we soared higher. It became a landscape in miniature. A mixed flock of puffins, guillemots and gulls joined us but were soon left in our wake as we soared higher and higher. The sea from this height appears calm and the sky clear and sun bright in a cloudless sky. Ailleacht then rolled and I was upside down as we fell like a cannon ball from the sky. I held up my hands and screamed for the joy of it and I admit to the terror. I screamed and screamed until I lost my voice and I gasped for breath. Then mere inches above the calm waters of the loch my dragon rolled me upright as we skimmed the surface. My belly felt like I was floating and weightless and I felt the spray on my face from the disrupted water surface as the powerful wings of my golden companion drove us along. We climbed again and I could see spread out before me my home and all of the Hebrides. In the distance out to sea we rapidly approached a thick band of snow white clouds and drove through them again and again rising higher. Then once again we climbed to enormous height and could find no air to breathe. We stalled in the silence of dead air and fell back to earth in a flat spin. I must fly again Aurelija, Dragon Rider

(This takes place shortly after the first five books) (also I'm working on a new cover) It has been three months since the dragonets "prophecy" came to fruition. Every Tribe was trying to adapt to the new peace, something that hasn't been experienced in years. For one particularly stubborn tribe, (cough cough, Nightwings, cough cough), they are having a rather rough time, just with the fact that they aren't constantly surrounded by lava and death. Though, one dragonet adapts slightly faster, (mostly due to not wanting to starve again), which leads to a... Rainwing, stalking him. Yeah, a Rainwing. Such unrefined creatures... - An idea just came to mind and I'm not quite sure how it would work out, anyways, I can add your Dragon's (OC) to my story, again, not sure if it would work out but I'm open to requests. Just ask and I'll take a look! - Example dialogue: (this is used in the story) Deathbringer swivels his head and stares at glory with a suprised look on his face, "wow, I did not know you could sound that nice", he covers the side of his mouth that's closer to Glory and leans toward Fateseaker, "careful kid, she's viscous", he whispers loud enough for Glory to hear while grinning. Glory shoots him a scathing look, "excuse his behavior, I'll make sure to punish him later", she says with a pissed tone while looking at Deathbringer. "Ohhh, don't threaten me with a good time", he winks at Glory. Glory covers her eyes with her claws and exhales in frustration. She collects herself for a moment before turning her attention back to Fateseaker. --- (A story about Breaking "Fate") WIP chapters are technically "finished", but I'll add more details, better grammar, etc. The edited chapters will have a (rewritten # times) at the beginning. (Just a little disclaimer, this story will have some darker themes starting at chapter 5)

"Do you remember calling me 'mate?'" he asked softly, pushing her wild curls away from her face. She blushed deeply, but he wouldn't let her look away. "You heard that?" He nodded with a smile. "It was the first thought she ever shared with me." Skylar pursed her lips. "She likes you very much." "What about you?" he teased gently. "How do you feel about me?" She set her jaw and once again managed to look down her nose at him while staring up at him. "Well... well, I'm rather fond of you, Orion." He let out a relieved laugh and pulled her into his chest again. "What a relief. I was worried it was just me." He nuzzled her temple, inhaling deeply, his dragon fully at peace. The words "I love you" were right on the tip of his tongue, but he knew it was too soon for that. He would have to hold them in just a little while longer. "I'm fond of you, too," he whispered in her ear. <><><><><><><><> Skylar lived her life in fear. Fear of exposure, fear of herself, and fear of her future. As a princess and heir to the kingdom, her future was daunting enough. The fact that she turned into dragon and would be killed if anyone found out made it all the worse. So, Skylar lived in constant conflict with the beast within her, all while training to be queen one day. When a fellow king discovers her secret, she is forced to flee or put her entire family in danger. When she meets Orion, the Alpha of a dragon clan, he helps open up a whole new world to her. In this new world, Skylar discovers who she is supposed to be and what she's been hiding from. She finds the beauty of her beast and a love she only ever dreamed of. But then her new world is threatened. It becomes a matter of kill or be killed, so Skylar's new family, with the help of her old, must rise to the challenge to defeat this threat. Or risk the extinction of her kind.
