Is Wattpad a good or bad thing? Are the people on here writers or do they just think they are? Whatever your answer to those questions there are a lot of mysteries surrounding Wattpad and the people that choose to write here. Every day thousands of you get on your computer and chase Wattpad all day long looking for something. What are you looking for and is Wattpad the place for you? I think we should all take a good look at these questions and try to answer them the best we can. It's time to be honest with ourselves. I am going to pose some questions here and make some observations that you might find not to your liking. It's okay. You'll live. Let's be honest with each other and see where this goes. Join me. Let's chase Wattpad together.

Hm... True. But wattpad is a big community. It's not likely that everyone is going to get a lot of reads, because people aren't always going to stumble upon your story. Just be thankful for the reads you do have and keep writing because you love writing. More reads will come with time.

I had wondered if it was just that my storys sucked :) Glad to know it's not just me. I've also had the problem of my e-mail alerting me that I have a follower, and then I dash to Wattpad to check it out, and there's nothing there. Very discouraging.

I actually don't mind this. Then again it doesn't happen to me very often so...

I got more reads when I put a picture of a hot chick on the cover of my work lol
Before I was on wattpad two years ago and wrote superhero stories. Barely got attention. Now I write erotic vampire stories and people are nuts over it lol
I've been around eight years on Twattpad and the 'read requests' are a staple of Twattpad, all of us want attention and will do anything to get it. It isn't Twattpad's fault necessarily, it is the PEOPLE who are ON Twattpad who choose to do this.

You are a writer. Writing just because you like to, whether you make money or not, is all that is needed to be a writer. You're suppose to write for yourself and if someone likes it, that's good. It's when your main goal is to please others that things start to fail.
