Despite Nancy's popularity in school, Enola was an outcast, which drove a rift between the girls. When their mother Kate Drew passed, Enola distanced herself from almost everyone. Then one person she did confide in dies in the parking lot of her work. Perhaps she was destined to be alone.

But Enola is never alone, at least not with the undead following her everywhere she goes. She has a sort of sixth sense when it comes to the supernatural ever since she faced death herself and survived. This ability to sense the supernatural becomes ever more crucial as Nancy and Enola race against time to solve the death of Tiffany Hudson and Lucy Sable.
