Everything Has Changed

Maisie Clifford had the perfect life. She has her dream job as a freelance photographer, the perfect apartment in the heart of San Francisco, her favorite city in the world and the perfect boyfriend, who she was sure was going to be her forever. She had everything planned out, and it was going to be perfect.

Until everything fell apart.

She didn't know what to do the day she saw him, the love of her life being intimate with another woman. When she ran out that day, she didn't look back, packing her things and leaving to the only person who was ever able to comfort the girl, her big brother Michael.

She only intends to stay with him for one night but when her brother offers for her to stay with him for longer, she doesn't hesitate to say yes; but there's a catch.

It's not that she hates him per say, that sounds harsh; but she and her brother's bandmate have never gotten along, and it was his fault. She tried with him at first, she really had, but he was quiet around her and stand-offish, it was clear the lead singer of the band hated her and she never quite understood why. So, she did what any normal person would do when someone hates them, hate them too.

But neither of them quite knew why they hated the other.

The two of them rarely spend time together, and never for long periods of time, but with Maisie moving in with her brother while their band writes and records their fifth studio album, they're forced to see a lot of one another. She pretends to hate it at first, still heartbroken and reeling from her rocky breakup; but the more time she spends with Luke, she discovers a soft spot for the tall blonde that she didn't know was in her and she hates it.

Everything in Maisies perfect life is changing, she thought she had it all figured out. Perfect job, perfect home, perfect boyfriend.... But maybe, she was wrong. Maybe, the perfect life she needed was right in front of her face the whole time.
