After the abduction of his mother and the death of his pirate father, Léon Elliot and his siblings find themselves on a ship of their own. The new Captain Elliot has everything - until his brother and sister discover that they are immortal. What's more, they are now being hunted by an unknown enemy with weapons they can't begin to fathom and dark intentions. In a desperate attempt to save his ship and his family, Léon must delve into the past and into secrets darker than reality. With the help of a spunky clock-maker, Léon can fight fire with fire and with all the relish of a pirate captain. In an epic high-seas adventure that mixes science fiction, fantasy, and just a touch of steampunk, Léon embarks on a quest that will lead him to love, loss, and finally revenge. This is one of three books in a series I am working on, and while they are all connected, they can be read as stand-alone novels. I want to write a fairly historically accurate representation of pirates, while still enjoying the fantasy and sci-fi aspects of the plot. Basically, there will be no walking off planks, and I will stay consistent to historical events, when relevant. I would LOVE feedback, but remember, this is all first draft writing. I just want to get it out there.
