Set four years after the events of Jurassic Park. Ian and Clarissa Malcolm are happier than ever until Clary receives news from her father and he wants them both to meet him at his home. After a lecture Alan Grant and Clarissa Malcolm did together, they were approached by a man offering to fund Grant's research if he gave him and his wife an illegal aerial tour of Isla Sorna. Upon telling Ian about what was going on, Ian was very against the idea, knowing that something might go wrong. Clarissa assured her husband that nothing would go wrong and it was a quick flight tour and no ground activity.
