This "story" is a project I did for my AP US History class. I don't think it's my best written work, but my teacher praised it heavily. So, I thought I'd upload it on here.
To get a better sense of the culture, economy, politics, and society in the United States from the 1920s through the 1930s, you will be keeping a “journal” from the personal of somebody who lived through that era. Your journal must have seven entries (3 from the 1920s, 1 from October 29, 1929, and 3 from the Great Depression in the 1930s). Each entry must have 7-10 sentences and contain references to specific information you have read about or covered in class. Choose one of the following characters: a young woman (flapper) who lived it up in the 1920s, a U.S. Senator who faces these years from a government perspective, a successful small business owner or professional (like a doctor, grocery store owner, etc.), a farmer, or an immigrant factory worker. The assignment may be typed or hand-written.
