For years Abigail Feinman has ended the lives of men preying on the unprotected, the friendless, the poor and desperate of Camden. A scar across her throat is a constant reminder of her own childhood brush with horror, one that stole her parents as well as her voice. All she has left is rendering violent services on behalf of the working folks of Camden, evoking fear and dread in the hearts of men.
One man, however, is not afraid of her... not at all. Alfie Solomons thinks the so-called 'Angel of Camden' is a downright nuisance. He resents the hushed tones his men use when speaking about 'her'--whomever she is--as well as the pervasive sense of fear plaguing businesses that pay for his protection, and 'bread.'
The specter is bad for business. The specter must be dealt with, no matter her story... even despite his own curiosity? Fucking hell.

The Peaky Blinders were a street gang based in Birmingham, England, which operated from the 1880s until the 1920s. The group engaged in robbery, violence, racketeering, illegal bookmaking, and control of gambling with razor blades sewn into these caps. Everyone knew who they were. Everyone could pinpoint the family of mixed Irish Travellers with Romani origins from the very beginning. Everyone was scared. Except one. Although one could argue that she was cautious.... Several months after the end of the First World War, Aurora Wood found herself in a symbiotic relationship with the street gang and, most importantly, their ambitious, cunning crime boss, Tommy Shelby. It stemmed from more than just protection, a need for survival that the woman had because she was one of their own. In a way. Starting with the debt her father accumulated from Tommy. But as suppressing disorder and uprising persisted, the woman with fiery eyes started to adapt. And when one adapted, one became dangerous.
