Petunia found out the truth after her ungrateful brat of a niece had returned from that freak school. After convincing Vernon to take them to New York to deliver her to Tony (mentioning Dudley was a fan and gaining more business associates) they hop on a plane ready to abandon the freak in New York with her father, ignoring the aliens everywhere. Tony seeing the state his daughter is in puts all of his efforts into protecting her and tearing the Dursleys down piece by piece for no one hurts his loved ones and lives.
