Faye's idea of a second chance at life wouldn't have been to become a king of Hell's hunting dog, but she doesn't really have a choice in the matter. Belial has a short temper and won't take no for an answer, and he expects her to learn quickly as she navigates through a small town full of mutants. The disease infecting them evolves faster than science can find a cure for, and although Faye is given immortality for long enough to do the job, she's not eager to be attacked by one again. Dying once was enough. Belial doesn't ask for something without giving a reward in return, however, and offers her a gift for her help. Bring as many mutant souls to him as she can for his army down below, and she gets a special place in Hell where she can enjoy an afterlife when all is done. As Faye grows to embrace her new purpose, she decides to follow through and put up with Belial's cruelty. What she doesn't expect, however, is to start lusting after the king she thought she loathed.
