"Nolan, too many of us fail to understand the corruption in the world. Every day, torture. Every day, agony and bloodshed. We can never rid of it permanently." She then squeezed my shoulder. Hard. "But we do our very best."
In 2089, when all of Europe has gone to war, only little stabilization remains in America. Split into 20 Divisions, those who live here are threatened by homelessness, starvation, and living among bare ruins. However, the ACA hopes to preserve peace.
Lynn Kramer, also known as Agent 53, joined the ACA after losing her mother to the war effort in Europe. Only days after her mother passed, Lynn's father left, leaving his grief-stricken, 16 year old daughter to fend for herself. Desperate to make things right, Lynn turned to the ACA for strength in these difficult times, and became one of the most hardworking agents they could hope for. However, things don't always work out for Lynn, and she is soon left with choices that will define who she is and what she believes in.
Nolan Hood, a fellow agent, joined the ACA after being faced with the cruel mystery of his parents' leaving. Always looking to prove himself to the ACA cause, Nolan will do almost anything to prove his loyalty. But after watching the death of one of his most trusted allies, will Nolan be able to live with the guilt? Will he ever forgive himself for what has happened?
After conquering many threats across the U.S., the ACA might soon be experiencing their greatest challenge yet. "The Kings", a group that has been terrorizing Division 11 for weeks now has been rapidly increasing in number. On one of their first real missions for the ACA, Lynn and Nolan must learn to work together, even if it means putting their lives at risk.
