Penny is Peter's ½ sister. They have the same mother, but different dads (their mom died in her sleep suddenly when Penny was six months old and their dad died in a car accident when she was five and Peter was 8. For some reason Peter got to stay with Aunt May but Penny was placed with her dad's brother and wife. They abused her for eight years (physically and mentally). When Aunt May dies Tony gets government permission to be Penny's and Peter's legal guardian. The story starts when Penny go to live with Tony. She doesn't know Peter is Spiderman. Peter is very protective of her.

My life has been anything but normal. HYDRA killed my father than took me captive. They tortured me for years before a group called the Avengers saved me. Not even a month past by when they left me at an orphanage, thinking I would be safer there. Little did they know I wasn't safe anywhere. Harper was born a few years before Clint met Laura. To clarify. when Harper is 16, Cooper is 10, Lila is 7 and Nathaniel is yet to be born. So Technically Harper is half-siblings with them all.
