Katerina has been tormented by all the people she counted on most in her life. Her pack, the kids at school, even her own brother. She felt lost enough as it was since her parents died. Something changed in the pack when they passed and no one seemed to care about the pain or the sorrow that was left on her shoulders or the pack.
They were all the same and none of them were who they used to be.
Most days, she felt it was impossible to be happy. What kept her going was the one thing she had to looking forward to. On her 16th birthday, she would meet her mate. He's the only person in the world who will love her through anything and protect her from everything.
But, the moment he realizes she's the werewolf he's destined to be with, he rejects her.
He was no different from the others. She should have known he would become yet another person she could no longer count on but sadly, she learned her lesson the hard way.
After losing that last little bit of hope she held on to, she couldn't take it anymore. She needed an out so, she did what any sane person would do... she ran.
