Jessica Reed is seventeen years old, a straight-A student, and plans on attending the University of Wyoming in the fall after she finishes her senior year in a small high school in the even-smaller town of Rockport, Texas. She grew up with her parents constantly at each other's throats, and- after her mother's untimely death- finds it hard to believe that love actually exists and tells herself she's content without it. Andre Sanders isn't human. And being a mate-less werewolf is never easy. Add having to run a pack of other werewolves on top of that, and you would understand why he isn't the nicest. He rules with a strict hand, and doesn't tolerate excuses or disobedience. When Jessica gets into a deadly car accident on her way to college that should have killed her, she wakes up in a new place, with Andre by her side. She is forced into a new life where mythical creatures are all too real, and her very core beliefs are trashed. Andre is determined to help her push past the memories of her parent's fights and prove that soul mates, and love, exist.
