"I promise that I'll protect you, Y/N", Changmin says, petting her hair gently. "I know you're tired. You've been a good champion, chasing me all these years without stopping. You'll get to rest now. No more high expectations of you, no more saving the world, no more taking advantage of you. I'll build you up again."
    
    Y/N nods. His words convince her to relax her body. He sounds so ... genuine, so ... caring. Weirdly enough, she finally feels like she's in the right place. No one has talked to her like that before. Everyone has had the same customer service voice to her and avoided eye contact as much as possible unless they want to establish dominance. Changmin's eyes are full of worry and anger, but she can tell that it's not directed towards her. She finds it tragic that the only one that actually seems to like her for her and not for her fame is the person that's supposed to hate her the most.

    Y/N is a superhero with the ability to erase minds and wake the dead. During her entire life, she's been used for her abilities and treated like an object. She's is now the government's toy to do whatever they please with her and her every step is controlled. Everything from capturing villains to erasing criminals' minds to waking the military up from the dead.
    
    Ji Changmin is the worst villain the country has seen in modern times. With the abilities to summon demons and with the touch of death at his fingertips, he causes destruction wherever he walks. He has no soft spots ... but the hero he's supposed to hate.
    
    When they stand before each other for what seems like the last time, the villain asks the hero to join him and together take revenge on the cruel world that has done them wrong. A broken hero and a villain thirsty for blood, ready to go above and beyond for the woman he loves. Alliance turn to love and the lines of good and bad smudge out.
