August Chapman is the total tomboy. Ever since she was 7, her parents split up and left her in the care of her grandmother; she's learned how to stay strong. The ways she buries her feelings is through soccer. The best in the country, her grandmother moves August to one of the best schools that makes soccer their main priority on the coast of South Carolina. She finds herself in a group of stereotyped people, and boys who just don't want her on the team. But can they learn to treat her like one of the guys?
