The Fuel to Fire | Book One
Thanks to the United States of America, Elementals from all over the nation are sent to a special summer camp called Camp Element, a camp for pre-teens to teenagers who are born with extraordinary elemental capabilities. It is a place for teens to be tested on their power, and not in a good way. For years, the place has been transformed from a refuge to an abusive juvenile prison where most kids are scarred for life at a very young age. Some teens already come from difficult, violent, and tragic lives. The camp does nothing, except rendering fear into the poor children forced to go to what their parents think is a haven for kids like them. The Elemental party was never seen as people to others worldwide. And, this is what the 'normal' people are doing to them.
Born with fiery orange hair and burnt carmine eyes, it was no surprise to her family that Rowan had the ability to manipulate fire. There were multiple circumstances where Rowan burned down objects, especially after her mother's car crash that took Mrs. Stacey's life. After Rowan burned her balcony and half of her neighbor's, Mr. Markus Stacey had lost his patience. With that, his solution was Camp Element. He decided Rowan was no longer safe in the real world. When Rowan arrived, she already felt unwanted there because of the constant harassment by the infamous Maxton Brightly, a boy in Wind with a rather tragic reason as to why he hates Rowan. The two go head to head in constant battle until one decides to have a change of heart.
