They swung open the cage door, cattle prods at full power, humming with electricity. The man lazily lifted his hands in surrender. "Now, now." He said softly. His voice was like velvet. "No need. I'll do as you please." The man in the cage said, his eyes straying to her.
"You know what it is we want beastling." The man with the pale eyes said. The caged man shot him a glance, something dancing just below the surface of his calm, relaxed demeanor. The air in the room was electric.
The man locked eyes with her, sending a shiver through her whole body. She felt like a rabbit in the jaws of a wolf- struggling, but doomed. Then, his eyes still on hers, he began to change.
