Salvare University looms above its city as a sanctuary for those gifted with magic. The University is renowned for pouring out students that encounter immediate success and wealth in the world. Those that have earned their robes are respected as leaders, business owners, protectors, and scholars. The catch, a magic test must be passed to be accepted into this prestigious school. A large sum of money is granted to all who choose to participate in the exam. If accepted, a even larger monthly stipend is offered to the students.

Niktda Ranoore lives with her family in Asuraville. She needs to make sure her family gets fed this approaching winter. Her father refuses to do anything more than the bare minimum for the survival of their family. The sole responsibility rests on her shoulders as a skilled hunter. After traveling into town to sell her wares, Nik hears word of Salvare University accepting new students for the first time in 100 years, she decides to travel to Salvare with her friends, to take the exam. While taking the magic test, Niktda's life changes in ways she never could have imagined.
