The war was successful, and they won.
Sasuke returned to the village, and Naruto and Sakura both made their dreams come true. 
They had families, and children and they were happy.

Even so, something has changed, the 7 Hokage is not what he used to be.

Sasuke Uchiha, broke the heart of the blonde, no, not only the heart, he had been destroying him for years, as well as the village and its inhabitants, until they finally crossed the border and the blond was never the same again.
