My first look at Jago Santiago was when I knew it would be unforgettable. The man I
thought at a distance looked big, looked massive standing in front of me. He
was terrifying. His body adorned in dark designer clothing, his face was
detached from any emotion. His features were ragged but harsh, rough but
defined, but it was his eyes that were breathtaking.

  Grey, steel, cold.

There was no way of knowing what the man ever thought as all windows and doors to his
mind were closed firmly and locked. There was no way in. My body tingled with
fear amongst other things and I shivered. I was dead and I knew it.

Jago Santiago. One of the most feared men in San Diego.

Not that Isla Summers knew anything about it. Recently relocated to Vancouver, Canada
after a change to her parent's work life, she knows nothing about the city or
about her brother's activities when he temporarily lived in San Francisco. Now
with her parents away constantly she has to put up with her withdrawn brother,
who is clearly hiding something big, and when she catches sight of a stranger
on a motorbike, who is later seen terrorising the area she lives in, she jumps
head-first into the danger, determined to find out the truth herself.

It doesn't help that the man she's trying to chase is a famous gangster and a
  notorious killer.
