smut. getting two people who have no affection for each other and combining it into a smutty sex scene.
i feel, if you're writing a fanfiction, make sure your readers really connect with a new character. need an oc? make them relatable. don't give us a backstory at the beginning, build it up during the story. give us little pieces of their past.
