No Dichotomy Between Half-Full & Half-Empty

Five black folks on some version of an Earth-like planet, in some concept of time, decide to peacefully live their last 24 hours together when it's announced that an asteroid would hit their planet. However, last day on the planet or not, bigots will still practice bigotry, and minorities will not be allowed to die in peace.

Jamie the underground artist, Khadija the soon-to-be mom, Arrow the transgender boy, Sacha the prized albino and Ziv the disabled astronomer all meet by sheer coincidence when news that the Earth has less than 24 hours left till doomsday breaks out. With their meetings accidentally aided by the devil's work of a system that works against them, the five of them decide it's best to stick together and leave their town in a dilapidated bus. They learn about the many struggles different black folks from varying backgrounds face and that their history is not all black and white. However, a certain man with power wants his prized albino back and won't leave them until he gets her. Will their last hours turn out the way they want?
