"You got hotter?. How long have I been away?" Jax drapped an arm over my shoulder. 
I smiled, but my gaze met with Ludwig's again, his eyes narrowed in a possessive way I knew too well. Well if he's dancing with another girl, then I'm going to dance with Jax. 

Ludwig wasn't the only one watching. I could feel the quiet hum of people's gazes glued to me. I ignored them all.

The only person I couldn't ignore was Jax. His gaze was different. Not possessive like Ludwigs', but something deeper. 

"Let's dance." I nodded in agreement. 

I was lost in Jax's scent, the musk of his cologne. His arms were around me, hugging me close in a way that felt... like home. Our bodies moving in perfect sync. 

One moment, Jax's warmth was mine, and the next-someone violently yanked us apart. My body jolted as I was pulled back, and before I could react, I felt a strong hand on my wrist, dragging me away from Jax. 

What the hell?. Of course it was Ludwig!.
